I was born a Silver, i know my fathers family decents came from Austria, with name of Robert Solomon, and one named solomon solomon, that is where it stops, My Mothers family came frm Tamania, all over the place the cleaver;s and crossin;s were born there but i did manage to get as far as seeing they were both decenants from Ireland, Kilenny, was my nana, and my granfather William came from somwhere else but i can not remember where. My grandfathers family his mother Mcwaide started off in Tasmania and there are still many over there, i have spoken to a few cousins from there but have lost touch due to illness, My married name is During, this is a german name, my husbands parent s are both from germany, nuremberg and i cant recall the other name, i also traced his family to Austria after the war. I know my father Rex joined the Austrailan airforce but dont konw what his job was, his brother also joined, Going back to my mothers family, I know that my ranfather was in the Army but i am not sure of his position, as there are no war records of him fighting in any war, although i have tracked him down as being a strapper for horses in the army and out of the army it was his postion as he worked in Tasmania,, I know he left Tassie and left my nana and the kids there for sometime, then they met him in Victoia, they settled in Bright and after my mother was born tey were given a housing commission home at 28 spring street east coburg Melbourne Victoria, i have many memories of this home good and bad. This is where my gran dad died from Taburculosis.
