Effectivement, il s'agit bien de Jean Antoine de BOUTAUD, né à Hennebont le 30/06/1760, qui a épousé Jane FRANCIS à Lisbonne le 17/04/1798. Il fut l'oncle de mon trisaïeul Louis Antoine Edouard de BOUTAUD, né le 12/11/1791 à Saint Sulpice sur Lèze (Haute Garonne).
A ce propos, vous me voyez fort surpris de l'intérêt que vous portez à la famille des BOUTAUD de Toulouse, car il semble que très peu de personnes se soient intéressées à leur origine plus lointaine.
Ne soyez pas surpris par cet intérêt. Je m'intéresse à l'histoire de ma ville, (Hennebont) plus particulièrement au XVIIIe siècle et aux personnages qui y vivaient. Cette époque et sa "Noblesse" est aujourd'hui oubliée, voire effacée, à Hennebont (peut-être une certaine culture locale?). Alors, par la création de l' atelier d'histoire du Vieil Hennebont et avec quelques autres passionnés, nous recherchons cette histoire. Aux archives communales j'avais simplement noté le nom de votre aïeul et surtout celui de son père Messire Pierre de Boutaud de Kerguern, Capitaine au Régiment d'infanterie de Berry. Cette appartenance militaire retenait notre attention.
