I am searching for any of the Cook family who lived in Carmi, Illinois in the 1960's and 1970's. My great uncle was Frank Cook and his daughter Edith Harmon lived there at that time. There was also a Frank and Pat Cook who lived there for a while. They had 2 daughters named Susan and Patricia. Patty worked at a bank during this time. Frank had just gotten out of the service. Would like any info anyone can provide me. Thanks in advance. Barbara (Crow) Harvey firstname.lastname@example.org
A new YDNA project attempting to tie males with any variant of the surname Nipp/Knipp to their immigrant ancestors. This project is for males with any variation of the Nipp/Knipp surname, or males who suspect they are from that surname line. Thus, the individual who tests must be a male who wants to check his direct paternal line (father's father's father's...) with a Y-DNA12, Y-DNA37, Y-DNA67, or Y-DNA111 test and who has one of the surnames listed for the project, or genetically matches one of the surnames in the project.
Although females do not carry their father's Y-DNA, those who would like to check their father's direct paternal line can have a male relative with his surname order a Y-DNA test.
Patricia Roudinan was born 2/2/1942 and her sister Judy was born 1/8/41. They were both born in probably Chicago, and were taken from their mother early on to be put into foster care. Both went to live with Lillian and Walter Miller. I am trying to track down the birth parents of Patricia and Judith. They both went by Miller their entire lives, but I recently came across a WWII Ration Book with Patricia and the last name Roudinan which I assume is her birth name. Please...I have run out of ideas. Anybody want a crack at this?
